Hello again from Whakatane.
WOW What a great time we are having. I am feeling a bit sad as this tour is coming to an end with only two shows to go. At least I will get to see my darling Barnaby Jackson soon and get lots of doggy cuddles. Carterton was a wonderful night with a large audience who were very vocal and fun to perform to. Thank you Carterton for making us feel so welcome and giving us a magic evening!
The next day was a long journey to Opunake then another show there in the evening. I was really looking forward to performing in Opunake as I have very good memories from our last show there in 2010. Now I have wonderful new memories of another concert there.
On Thursday we had a travel day to Whakatane. Phew, this was a big travel day. I think that maybe we took the long road... ha ha... It was called the Forgotten World Highway and even though the scenery was so beautiful it was a bit tough on the tummy sitting in the back of the van! It took us 11 hours to get to Whakatane and I must say that I was glad that we had an amazing shower in the hotel that night! The next morning was lovely. We rested up for a few hours then went for a walk into town where we found a beautiful cafe and had fantastic food. Whakatane was another concert that I was very excited about as last time we were here it was another major highlight of the tour. Whakatane - You did not let us down... What a great night. Lovely theatre, full house, standing ovation again...YIPPEE!! You did make us feel wonderful. THANK YOU!
We are off to Thames today and I am looking forward to this as we have not performed there before. Will make sure I do a final blog about the last two shows in a few days. Love to you all and thanks for reading my blog.
